Touch #2

TOUCH:
Deadly Little Lies by Laurie Faria Stolarz

Untouchable!

Ben has been out of Canelia's life for the past few months but he has never been far from her thoughts. However, along with her broken heart Camilia has been dealing with some very strange occurrences. This has led Camelia to wonder if it is at all possible that Ben's gift of psychometry could of been somehow transferred to herself, the alternative being that she going crazy. But at this point she is not sure which is worse.

Finally Ben has returned and Camelia could not be more happier, even if others are less then pleased to see him. But things between Ben and Camelia do not go smoothly and while Ben is doing his best to keep his distance from Camelia, someone else is doing there best to get her attention. The notes have started again, along with the phone calls. Camelia is assured that Matt is far away and to her dismay it is looking more and more likely that Ben is responsible.

Deadly Little Lies is a pacey mystery that mixes the paranormal with romance and dangerous stalkers. Camelia's story of broken hearts, new romances, creepy death threats and voices that exist only in her head, is bisected with the diary entries of an aunt who all believe crazy but who has more in common with Camelia than anyone would believe. This second Touch story is just as thrilling as the first and equally as impossible to put down.

TOUCH:
Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz

One Touch And He Just Knew!

Camelia has had her share of experience with school rumours, and knowing just how 'truthful' they can be she is happy to ignore them when it comes to Ben the new guy at school, especially when that guy saved her life, not to mention left her thinking of little else but his touch ever since.

As the rumours escalate so to does the danger for Camelia, but as the danger grows Camelia finds her world closing in about her, her parents are preoccupied and her friends never seem to be around. Only Ben seems to be there when she need someone, but is his presence saving her from danger or bringer her closer to it. Everyone has their secrets; some are just more deadly then others.

Deadly Little Secret is not your average stalker thriller; it is also a story of unrequited love with a twist of the paranormal. Despite the fact that just about every boy in this book seems to have a crush on Camelia it is thrillingly mysterious and impossible to put down. I can't wait to lay my hands on book 2.

Wonderland

Wonderland by Tommy Kovacillustrated by Sonny Liew

'One Of Them Girly-Type Faces'

When Alice followed a talking white rabbit down a rabbit hole the events that followed became well known, but not only in our world. Wonderland was a world changed as Alice had left behind her a land in chaos and a kingdom now full of the curious.

But the most intriguing and unanswered question to arise from Alice's Adventure In Wonderland is the curious manner in which the white rabbit refers to Alice as Mary Ann. Just who is this Mary Ann and why is does the white rabbit insist Alice is she?

Would it surprise you to learn that, like Alice, Mary Ann was a girl who wore some sort of dress and had some sort of hair on her head. Under such circumstances could the white rabbit really be blamed for getting the two mixed up?

But then Alice turned out to be some sort of monster, creating chaos and in-sighting curiosity, while Mary Ann is but a humble and orderly maid who loves noting more then to clean and tidy. However when it comes down to it are Alice and Mary Ann really so different.

Wonderland is a graphic novel that tells the story of the elusive Mary Ann and what life was like for those in Wonderland after Alice. A combination of the comic book issues that comprised the Wonderland comic series are brought together in this vivid and intriguing hardcover edition. A quirky and curious tale for all those to dare to know more.

A Tale of the Wicked Queen

by Serena Valentino

Once Upon A Time...!

We all know the story of Snow White; a beautiful princess, a wicked stepmother, a hunter and a poisoned apple. But what is the real story? Is Snow White really as innocent as all that, and is the Queen really that evil? Well yes, and yes. But what it not known is why...

Snow White's stepmother, the Wicked Queen, was not always wicked; she was once young, and beautiful, and loving. But something had changed, she had changed, she traded her grief for vanity and once she started there was no going back.

The Queen had suffered a lot during her life, and when she was at her lowest there he was, the man in the mirror. After that she was never the same again, and not even the gentle and beautiful stepdaughter could save her from herself, or the man in the magic mirror.

This story takes you beyond the fairytale to tell the real story of the Wicked Queen, and how she became capable of the unspeakable act of attempting to murder a stepdaughter that she had once loved as her own. It is a beautifully presented book with a dark yet fun story that is full of insights. If you like fairytales or dark fiction, then this book is for you.
