Iron Fey Book 2

IRON FEY:
The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

Follow Your Heart!

Meghan may have destroyed Machina but that hasn't stopped the Iron fey. With a new Iron King the Iron fey will stop at nothing to destroy the Winter and Summer fey courts and are causing chaos in the most devastating way possible. Unfortunately the Winter and Summer fey still doubt the Iron fey's existence as only Meghan, Ash and Puck seem to be the only ones to have encountered them first-hand and are therefore the only ones who can stop the ruthless Iron fey.

However Meghan is trapped in a world of inescapable cold with no one to trust surrounded by curious and malicious fey of every sort imaginable. Ash is growing ever distant from Meghan becoming hard and cold with her, leaving Meghan to slowly doubt his love for her. And Puck is still unconscious within a tree somewhere leaving little chance of anyone knowing the truth of what has happened and returning what was stolen, preventing a war that everyone seems to want and stopping the unstoppable force that is the Iron fey from destroying the Nevernever.

The Iron Daughter is a story of love turned cold, of trust turning to betrayal and of the whole world coming down around you. But it is also a story of old friends returning and old enemies uniting in a quest to save all. This is where unexpected feelings, past secrets and old friends only complicate an already impossible situation. That of Meghan caught between two worlds and two boys, where she must make a choice knowing that someone is going to walk away with a broken heart; if she's not lucky it will be her own.

Iron Fey Book 1

IRON FEY:
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

Lets Make A Deal!

The last thing Meghan remembers of her father is a memory of him smiling, laughing, standing by a pond in the park sending her off to get an ice cream. The next moment he was gone with only his shoes left to mark that he had ever existed at all. That was ten years ago. Since then she and her mother had moved, her mother had remarried and she now had a half brother who, despite being only four, was really quite a good kid.

When on the eve of her sixteenth birthday her brother starts acting strangely and she begins to see things that cannot possibly be, Meghan is faced with an impossible truth; faeries are real. And more startling then that, she herself is half fey. When her best friend is more then what he seems, when her brother is nothing like he was, when her whole family is placed in danger, Meghan is faced with a choice that will forever change the way she sees the world.

The Iron King blends together the familiar themes associated with faeries found in mythology and folk beliefs but twists them into a modern fairy tale that is new and sharp. This is a world where time has no meaning, love will leave you frozen and friends will get you drunk on fruit and break your heart. With vivid detail a richly imaginative journey is taken that will bring danger with every turn, obligation with every word and understanding with every new encounter. A captivating read, I promise.

Glass Book 1

GLASS BOOK:
Storm Glass by Maria V Snyder

Seeing The Light!

Opal has a skill with glass, it is a unique magical ability that only she possesses, unfortunately it also happens to be the only magical ability she possesses. The past four years at the Magician's Keep have not been easy for Opal, with little other skill and no friends it has been a hard and lonely time.

Now in her fifth year, Opal has been asked to undertake a mission for the Master Magicians, a mission only she can fulfill as it relates to glass, her magical speciality. But one seemingly straightforward mission soon turns into so much more as events begin to unfold and deceptions are played out. Opal is in more danger then she realises, but with so much going on can she discover the truth in time to save herself and those she loves?

Storm Glass is not your typical magical girl story, there is a realness to this story that is immediately evident through the history and culture of the land as well as the personal back-stories of the characters. This is not a simple story of one quest leading to a simple outcome, but will instead set of a chain reaction of events so complex and strategic that it will leave you hooked, wondering to the very end. A brilliant new series that is every bit as complex as it is engaging.

Soul Screamers #2

SOUL SCREAMERS:
My Soul To Save by Rachel Vincent

Should I Stay Or Should I Go!

It has been only weeks since Kaylee has discovered that she is a bean sidhe and only weeks since she witnessed her aunts death, as well as the deaths of four other innocent girls; her best friend Emma almost one of them. But Kaylee is about to learn that there is more to the world then reapers and bean sidhes'.

Kaylee now has two new men in her life; her boyfriend Nash who was there for her with the truth when no one else was and her father who for as long as she can remember has been absent. If Kaylee thought things were awkward before they are about to get a whole lot more complicated. Forced to skip school, break rules and downright lie, Kaylee will have to make a choice, her life or the life of a complete stranger.

When Kaylee crosses over to the dark side she begins to realise just how much danger she is really in. Soulless pop-stars, demons, love sick reapers and overbearing fathers may not be the biggest hurdles she has to face, if she can not get over her own sense of guilt, and a nasty little vine, it may not be just her life lost. Kaylee must realise she can't save everyone, or the price she pays will be herself.

My Soul To Save through sacrifice and love, but it may not be enough. Kaylee is delving deeper into the dark and dangerous world of the Netherworld in a way that is daring and energetic. With a focus on trust, friendships and doing what is right there is just the right blend of mystery, danger and romance to keep any reader satisfied. It's a real scream!

Soul Screamers #1

SOUL SCREAMERS:
My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent

Time Is Running Out, And So Is Her Voice!

It was a Friday night and Kaylee and her best friend Emma have decided to go out, but as they are still under age they have snuck into the club through the back door. Emma is blond, curvy and beautiful while Kaylee is not, but she is long used to standing in the shadows. What Kaylee is not used to is attention, especially not from a very good looking and popular Nash who has never talked to her before in her life.

What started out as a fun night out soon turns into a nightmare as Kaylee's past comes back to haunt her. She had thought she was over it, that it would never happen again, but suddenly, in a club full of people Kaylee sees doom and panic strikes her. Unfortunately it just happens to occur when the gorgeous Nash is standing right beside her, and she knows after this he will never speak to her again.

But when the panic is over and Nash is still at her side Kaylee is wondering what it is Nash is really after. So much is about to change for Kaylee and as much as she thinks she might be crazy she will not allow others to believe it, not when it could lead her to enforced hospital stays with zombie pills for the crazy. She will not go through that again!

As the truth about Kaylee and her past is revealed so too is a whole new world, one that is far more heartbreaking and frightening then she could ever have imagined. With Nash by her side, although why and for how much longer, Kaylee must make some awful decisions and face horrific situations, and when the dust clears not every one will make it out alive.

It's My Soul To Take as long as no one screams. A swan song unveils a whole new and engrossing world of supernatural and faerie beings that is dark, soulful and utterly unique. Amidst the death and darkness love is blossoming and as this story unfolds so to does the character of Kaylee and her story as it embarks on a new and exciting series. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
